Sindhu, Srikanth and Sai Praneeth to function non-playing group mentors

P.V. Sindhu, Kidambi Srikanth and Sai Praneeth are among the many fashionable names who will function non-playing group mentors for the Grand Prix Badminton League (GPBL). The match can be held at Karnataka Badminton Association right here from July 1 to 10.
There can be eight groups within the fray, it was introduced on the launch ceremony right here on Saturday. Each group will comprise 10 gamers every, with a minimal of 5 gamers from Karnataka, and a minimal of three ladies gamers. A complete prize purse of ₹60 lakh is on supply.
Sindhu, mentor and co-owner of Bengaluru Tigers, mentioned: “It’s a great pleasure to be associated with the GPBL. It’s always nice to support, encourage and inspire youngsters who are looking up to us. Badminton has to grow from grassroots levels like this,” she mentioned.
“After co-owning a team in the Premier Badminton League and having seen the potential the game has to offer, we thought about introducing a unique league,” mentioned Prashanth Reddy, League Commissioner and CEO of Bitsport.
Former National champion Arvind Bhat will function the League Director.
Player public sale
Around 400 shuttlers have registered for the league. A participant public sale can be held subsequent week.
