(Reuters) – SpaceX has fired staff who helped write and distribute an open letter criticizing Chief Executive Officer Elon Musk’s habits, the New York Times reported on Friday, citing three staff with information of the state of affairs.
SpaceX President Gwynne Shotwell despatched an e-mail saying the corporate had investigated and “terminated a number of employees involved” with the letter, the New York Times mentioned.
It was unclear what number of staff had been terminated, the report mentioned.
SpaceX didn’t instantly reply to a Reuters request for remark.
A gaggle of SpaceX staff derided Musk as a “distraction and embarrassment” in an inner letter to executives.
In a listing of three calls for, the letter says “SpaceX must swiftly and explicitly separate itself from Elon’s personal brand.” It added: “Hold all leadership equally accountable to making SpaceX a great place to work for everyone” and “define and uniformly respond to all forms of unacceptable behavior.”
