Rescuers who labored in a single day to rescue round 40 staff trapped after an under-construction tunnel on the Brahmakhal-Yamunotri National Highway collapsed right here have established contact with them and offered them with meals and water, officers mentioned on Monday.
The staff are protected and have requested for meals, which is being despatched to them, the Silkyara police management room mentioned, including that communication has been established on walkie-talkies. Food packets have been provided with the assistance of compressors, it mentioned.

According to the District Emergency Operation Centre, the labourers are from Bihar, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Odisha, Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh.
About 160 personnel of companies such because the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) and the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) try to rescue the trapped labourers.
Officials on Sunday have been optimistic concerning the security of the trapped labourers as sufficient oxygen was made out there to them by a water pipeline.
