Tamil Nadu Startup and Innovation Mission, popularly generally known as TANSIM amongst entrepreneurs, has launched an initiative referred to as ‘S2G Buy Day’ to hyperlink start-ups and the federal government. An announcement relating to this was made through the 2022-23 Tamil Nadu Budget, that authorities departments and public sector undertakings can be allowed to immediately procure revolutionary services valued at as much as ₹50 lakh from start-ups within the State.
“The ‘S2G Buy Day’ would be a series of events focusing on two departments every month. TANSIM will put forward challenges and key areas where government departments are looking for solutions,” TANSIM Mission Director and CEO Sivarajah Ramanathan stated. The necessities of the division shall be uploaded on the StartupTN web site and the shortlisted start-ups would learn to make the pre-final pitch earlier than senior officers from the division.
The first ‘S2G Buy Day’ sequence can be performed for the Department of Social Defence, functioning below the Social Welfare and Women Empowerment Department, Government of Tamil Nadu, on June 14.
According to particulars shared by TANSIM, the division is searching for start-ups that may work with practically 44,000 underprivileged kids from distressed and disadvantaged backgrounds.
