The Union Rural Development Ministry on Wednesday signed an settlement with Patanjali Ayurveda for advertising and marketing of merchandise made by ladies self-help teams (SHGs) underneath the Ministry’s flagship programme National Rural Livelihood Mission.
As per the settlement, Patanjali Ayurveda is not going to solely market the merchandise of ladies SHGs but additionally present them alternatives to get dealership and distribution of such merchandise.
The settlement was inked within the presence of Union Rural Development Minister Giriraj Singh and Acharya Balkrishna, secretary basic, Divya Yog Mandir Trust, on behalf of Patanjali. “This agreement has been signed with an aim to help rural SHG women attain an aspirational income of at least ₹1 lakh per annum,” Mr. Singh stated.
With this settlement, the Ministry now recognises Patanjali as National Resource Organisation for its National Rural Livelihoods Mission. Patanjali will do co-branding of the merchandise made by ladies SHGs, market them at its shops and thru its networks of sellers and also will give them alternative to get the corporate’s dealership and distributorship, as per the settlement.
